Memory Setup
Memory Setup configures persistent vector memory for Clawly, so it can remember important facts, preferences, and context across all your conversations — not just the current session.
What You Can Do
- Tell Clawly things to remember permanently
- Have Clawly recall past context automatically
- Build up a personal knowledge base over time
- Clear or update stored memories at any time
Example Commands
"Remember that my company is called Acme and we sell B2B software"
"My preferred meeting time is Tuesday afternoon"
"What do you know about me?"
"Forget what I told you about my old job"
"Remember: my main goal this quarter is growing to 100 users"
Setup
No API key required — Memory Setup is a built-in Clawly capability.
- Go to your Clawly Dashboard
- Find Memory Setup in the Skills section
- Toggle it on
- Start telling Clawly things to remember
How It Works
- Capturing memories — When you say "remember this," Clawly stores it in your personal vector database
- Automatic recall — Before responding, Clawly searches memory for relevant context
- Contextual use — Retrieved memories are injected as context into each conversation
- Private — Your memories are stored only for your account, never shared
Tips
- Be explicit — "Remember that..." is the clearest signal
- Update over time — You can tell Clawly to update or overwrite old memories
- Ask what it knows — "What do you remember about me?" gives a full summary
- Use it for preferences — Great for storing communication style, company info, and personal preferences
