Setup
For Gmail Users

Enable 2-Factor Authentication
- Go to Google Account Security
- Turn on 2-Step Verification

Create an App Password
- Go to App Passwords
- Select "Mail" and your device
- Copy the 16-character password

Add to Clawly
- Go to your Clawly Dashboard
- Find the Email skill
- Enter your settings:
- IMAP Server:
imap.gmail.com - SMTP Server:
smtp.gmail.com - Email: your Gmail address
- Password: the App Password you created

How It Works
Clawly connects to your email using standard IMAP/SMTP protocols:
- IMAP - For reading emails (secure, read-only access to inbox)
- SMTP - For sending emails (authenticated sending)
Your credentials are encrypted and only used by your personal Clawly instance.
Tips
- Be specific with searches - "emails from john@acme.com about the proposal"
- Confirm before sending - Clawly will always ask you to confirm
- Keep it professional - Clawly drafts clear, concise emails
- Check recipients - Always verify email addresses
Security
- Your email password is encrypted at rest
- Clawly never stores email content permanently
- You can revoke access anytime by removing the skill
