Setup
1. Get a Brave Search API Key
- Go to brave.com/search/api
- Sign up for an API account
- Subscribe to the Data for AI plan (free tier available)
- Go to API Keys in your dashboard
- Copy your API key
2. Add to Clawly
- Go to your Clawly Dashboard
- Find the Brave Search skill
- Click Configure
- Paste your Brave Search API Key
- Click Save
How It Works
When you ask Clawly to search for something:
- Query processing — Clawly sends your query to Brave's search API
- Results fetching — Returns top web results with titles, URLs, and snippets
- Summarization — Clawly synthesizes the results into a readable response
