Setup
1. Set Up WhatsApp Business
- Go to Meta Business Suite
- Create or link your business account
- Set up WhatsApp Business API
2. Get API Credentials
- In Meta Business Suite, go to WhatsApp settings
- Create a System User
- Generate an access token
- Note your Phone Number ID
3. Add to Clawly
- Go to your Clawly Dashboard
- Find the WhatsApp skill
- Click Configure
- Enter your Meta Access Token and Phone Number ID
- Click Save

24-Hour Window
WhatsApp has a messaging window rule:
- You can send any message within 24 hours of customer contact
- After 24 hours, you must use approved templates
- Templates require Meta approval
Tips
- Use templates for first contact - Required by WhatsApp policy
- Respond within 24 hours - Keep the conversation window open
- Keep it professional - Business API has usage policies
- Verify phone numbers - Include country code (+1 for US)
