Invoicing

Create professional invoices and get paid by your clients using Stripe.

What You Can Do

Create Invoices

  • Bill clients with detailed line items
  • Set custom due dates
  • Add notes and payment terms
  • Support multiple currencies

Send Invoices

  • Send directly to client email
  • Clients receive a hosted payment page
  • Accept credit card payments

Track Payments

  • Check invoice status (draft, open, paid, void)
  • See payment history
  • Get notified when paid

Example Commands

Try saying things like:

"Create an invoice for John at john@example.com for $500 for web design work"

"Send an invoice to my client for 10 hours of consulting at $100/hour"

"Check if invoice INV-001 has been paid"

"List my recent invoices"

Setup

1. Get Your Stripe API Key

  1. Sign up or log in at stripe.com
  2. Go to Developers > API Keys
  3. Copy your Secret key (starts with sk_)

For testing, use your test mode key (starts with sk_test_)

2. Add to Clawly

  1. Go to your Clawly Dashboard
  2. Find the Invoicing skill
  3. Click Configure
  4. Paste your Stripe Secret Key
  5. Click Save

How It Works

When you ask Clawly to create an invoice:

  1. Customer lookup - Finds or creates a Stripe customer by email
  2. Invoice creation - Creates the invoice with your line items
  3. Sends to client - Client receives email with payment link
  4. Payment processing - Client pays via Stripe's secure checkout
  5. Confirmation - You're notified when payment is received

Tips

  • Be specific - Include client email, amount, and description
  • Use clear descriptions - "Web Design Services - January 2024" is better than "work"
  • Set reasonable due dates - 14-30 days is standard for most invoices
  • Confirm before sending - Clawly will ask you to confirm details

Pricing

Stripe charges:

  • 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card payment (US)
  • No monthly fees for basic invoicing

See Stripe Pricing for details.
