Setup

1. Create an Airtable Account

  1. Sign up at airtable.com
  2. Create your first base
  3. Set up tables with your fields

2. Get Your Personal Access Token

  1. Go to airtable.com/create/tokens
  2. Click Create new token
  3. Name it "Clawly"
  4. Add scopes: data.records:read, data.records:write, schema.bases:read
  5. Select which bases to grant access to
  6. Click Create token and copy it

3. Add to Clawly

  1. Go to your Clawly Dashboard
  2. Find the Airtable skill
  3. Click Configure
  4. Paste your Airtable Personal Access Token
  5. Click Save

How It Works

Creating Records

When you say "add a record to client tracker":

  1. Identifies the target table
  2. Creates record with your data
  3. Confirms the new record

Searching Records

When you say "find records where status is Active":

  1. Queries the specified table
  2. Applies your filter
  3. Returns matching records

Updating Records

When you say "update Acme Corp - set status to Complete":

  1. Finds the matching record
  2. Updates the specified field
  3. Confirms the change

Tips

  • Use descriptive field names - Makes natural language queries easier
  • Set up views - Filter and sort for different use cases
  • Link records - Connect related data across tables
  • Use field types - Single select, dates, checkboxes for structured data
