Tavily is a search API purpose-built for AI agents. It returns clean, structured results that are optimized for LLM consumption — including extracted content, not just links.

Setup
1. Get a Tavily API Key
- Go to tavily.com
- Sign up for an account
- Navigate to your API dashboard
- Copy your API key from the dashboard
2. Add to Clawly
- Go to your Clawly Dashboard
- Find the Tavily Search skill
- Click Configure
- Paste your Tavily API Key
- Click Save
How It Works
When you ask Clawly to search:
- Query sent — Your question is sent to Tavily
- Web search — Tavily searches and extracts clean content from top pages
- Structured results — Returns titles, URLs, scores, and raw content
- AI synthesis — Clawly summarizes findings into a useful response
Search Depth Options
Tavily supports two search depths:
