How It Works
When you ask Clawly to post or analyze tweets:
- Authentication — Uses OAuth 1.0a for posting, Bearer token for reading
- Content creation — Drafts content within 280 character limit
- Scheduling — Posts at specified times or immediately
- Analytics — Fetches engagement metrics via API
Tips
- Character limit — Tweets are limited to 280 characters
- Threads — For longer content, ask for a thread format
- Hashtags — Use 1-2 relevant hashtags, not more
- Timing — Best times vary, but generally 9am-12pm weekdays
- Media — Posts with images get 150% more engagement
Requirements
- X Developer Account — Free tier available
- API Access Level:
- Free: Read-only, limited tweets
- Basic ($100/mo): Full posting access
- Pro: Higher limits, analytics
Limitations
- Free tier has strict rate limits
- Some analytics require paid plans
- Scheduling requires third-party tools or custom implementation
